A fantastic little campsite. Prices were cheap. Facilities were basic. But everything you need. And were always clean. You don't need to book. It is worth calling ahead. Especially if there is a group of you. It is next door to the Green Dragon Pub which does great food and good local beers. Some great walks in the local area so good place to base yourself from.

Had a relaxed afternoon tea in the cafe. Nice to sit by the road and watch the world go by. I hadn't realised how close it was to Hawes & folk had walked over from there. It's quite pretty - A film crew turned up nearby as we left.

Had lunch here on several occasions over the past few years. Visited again in May this year and was not disappointed. Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere and Clara (the owner) makes you feel welcome. Cheese scones are excellent, as are the soups.

Walker friendly. Clean facilities. Lots of flat areas. Lovely owner took my power bank to charge when the showers were closed during Covid-19 restrictions.

Haven't been in a while but I was passing through, broke down just outside of town and was starving. Even though they had closed they let me in, served me tea and toasted teacakes and didn't ask for a penny. Left them what change I had and went on my way. Really a great place to visit decor is cosy and welcoming, i hear they've closed down but if they ever open up again I'll visit again soon. Mostly for the teacakes if I'm honest, they were delicious.
